I love being with people. I also love being a pastor – though at times I feel I am a very unlikely one. I’ve been told I look more like a biker, a bouncer, “Opie” from Sons of Anarchy or Dave Grohl (my heartfelt apologies go out to both of those guys if they are offended). Look for me if you ever decide to check Eastside out! I’ll buy you a cup of coffee!
I’ve been married for over 20 years to my best friend Tera, who is more than I could have ever hoped for or deserved and we have two kids who simultaneously keep me young and age me giving me grey hair at an alarming rate. Our favorite time together is usually spent outdoors, traveling, attending sporting events, or hanging out with friends… Being a dad and husband are two of the greatest privileges I have in the world.
If you are someone who has had a terrible experience(s) at a church or churches – I’d love for you to stop by some weekend and give it one more shot with us. Whether you have felt judged, or dismissed, or unwanted – wherever it has been – this place is different. Take it from the former “church-outsider-turned-pastor” – Eastside is a place where you can just be you and feel comfortable and accepted. I look forward to meeting you!
