Our Mission

At Eastside we exist to glorify God, reach people with love, introduce them to grace, teach them truth and send them out with purpose.

Our Purposes

LOVE GOD, LOVE PEOPLE - This was a direct command from Jesus to us... that we love God and equal to that, that we love people. When we talk about love we mean it in the “verb” sense... it’s not just an idea, it’s an action. (Matthew 22:34-40)

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS - When we love others, we will naturally become a part of, and contribute to, a community that forgives quickly, loves greatly, transforms daily and thanks God constantly for everything He has done, and continues to do, through us. (John 13:35, Romans 12:10, Hebrews 10:24-25)

MAKE A DIFFERENCE - When we build relationships, being obedient to God, we will be introduced to ways we can make a difference in our families, our community, and everywhere God calls us, bringing Him glory and supporting each other as one body. (Philippians 2:4-7, Proverbs 21:13, 1 John 3:17-18)

What we believe about God

We believe in one God who exists in three persons - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. All existing eternally unchanging, being completely omniscient, omnipotent and omni present.

- We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of all things visible and invisible.

- We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the eternal Word, the one and only Savior who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was both fully human and fully divine. He lived a sinless life. He suffered and was crucified as an atonement for sin. He rose again from the dead and ascended into Heaven and will return in victory to rule forever.

- We believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts us of sin and indwells every Christian and helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us in prayer and empowers us to a fruitful Christian life. as the sovereign, wise, and good Creator of all things, who reigns as King over all creation for His own glory. ROMANS 11:33-36

- We believe that God offers us His gift of salvation out of undeserved love and grace, God sent His only Son to save us from sin and reconcile us to Himself through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. JOHN 3:16

What we believe about the Bible

We believe in the Bible as God’s inerrant and perfect Word - We believe God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those original writings were consequently without error. We believe that the Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith, truth, morality, and Christian living.

What we believe about The Gospel

We believe in the Gospel - We believe that it is the Good News of Salvation and its proclamation:

- That man, created by God, willfully sinned against God and is consequently lost and without hope apart from the Gospel and Good News of Jesus Christ.

- That salvation—the forgiveness of sins—is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.

- That one receives salvation by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, and confessing Christ, and that the Bible commands every believer in Christ to be baptized by immersion.

- That those who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ are sent into the world to proclaim the Gospel and to love and serve the world just as Jesus Himself did.

What we believe about The Church

We believe in the Church - We believe in the Church of Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere, and organized into local assemblies, called churches. The Bible teaches that every Christian should be an active member of a local church.

Followers of Christ should meet together regularly for fellowship, worship, teaching, and the Lord's Supper. We should also use our natural abilities and spiritual gifts to serve one another, love one another, accept one another, forgive one another and always strive together to fulfill the Great Commission.
